Service and Support

Roger Dubuis movements are highly sophisticated mechanisms and each is the result of incredibly delicate craftsmanship. Because movements run continuously—24 hours a day for years on end—they require periodic maintenance. Many services can be accomplished within authorised Roger Dubuis boutiques. If our experts judge more extensive services to be necessary, the watch will be sent directly to our workshop in Geneva for meticulous evaluation and restoration.

It is our standard to provide each timepiece with a full rejuvenation during our complete maintenance services. Each piece is completely taken apart and every component is cleaned, inspected, lubricated, and replaced as needed. Each movement is then reassembled, polished, and subjected to the same demanding tests as our brand-new movements. Before they are returned to their owners in pristine condition (and with a renewed warranty), reassembled pieces are tested for an additional one to three weeks to ensure flawless function. For servicing, simply contact your nearest Roger Dubuis boutique and let our experts take it from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Roger Dubuis Maintenance and Guarantee

Guarantee

During the manufacturing process, and to guarantee perfect functioning, every ROGER DUBUIS movement is subjected to a range of demanding quality controls and tests over a period of several weeks. A ROGER DUBUIS Manufacture movement nonetheless requires periodical servicing. ROGER DUBUIS timepieces are guaranteed for two years against any manufacturing defect in normal conditions of use. Should any defects be observed during this period, ROGER DUBUIS will perform a complete revision of the movement, free of charge, provided that the terms of the guarantee have been respected.

Maintenance

A mechanical Manufacture movement is a sophisticated “engine” but unlike a car engine it runs constantly, and is therefore subjected to mechanical wear and tear 24 hours a day and for years on end. Just as we have our cars serviced, a Manufacture mechanical movement must be regularly maintained. Ideally, it should be given a complete revision every four years. Here too, the owners of a ROGER DUBUIS timepiece enjoy the guarantee of impeccable service.

Complete Revision

During a full maintenance service, the movement is completely taken apart, the components are cleaned, inspected, replaced if they are worn out, and lubricated. The movement is then reassembled by the same watchmakers who made it, and precisely adjusted. It then undergoes a battery of tests, exactly like a brand-new movement, while the case and metal bracelet are meticulously polished. Once the movement has been fitted back in its case, the complete watch is tested for one to three weeks, depending how complicated it is, to guarantee perfect working order. At the same time as the movement is revised, its components are updated to benefit from the latest technological innovations developed by ROGER DUBUIS.
