It is ROGER DUBUIS' intention to create unique products by personalising its dials through the traditional art of enamel painting. Known as the “Geneva” technique, this is one of the rarest and most complicated forms of painting; in fact, only a handful of artists today have mastered it. The first theme to be selected, in 2002, was an illustration of the five continents, the drawings for which were done by the Manufacture’s own painter-enamellists. This was followed by other original subjects: tarot cards, ships, Formula 1, polo, and important naval battles. To respect their exclusive character, each of these thematic collections has been limited to 28 pieces.
