Roger Dubuis, the pioneer of contemporary skeleton calibers and a specialist in architectural and technical mechanics, unveils a thrilling new Excalibur Spider limited edition timepiece which will be available at the New York boutique.
An Exhilarating New Edition of the Excalibur Spider
Staying true to the design codes of its legendary Excalibur line, the Spider models derive their name from the intricate and delicate work of a spider’s web. Renowned for its mastery of skeleton work, Roger Dubuis pushes the limit of the skeleton theme with the Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon by skeletonizing not only the movement, but also the case, flange, and hands. With the reveal of the 20-piece limited edition Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon Americas Edition, Roger Dubuis captures the excitement and thrill for which the Excalibur Spider line is known.
The open-worked case displays the painstaking finishes of the hand wound movement, which features a flying tourbillon and 60 hour power reserve – a technical masterpiece worthy of the Poinçon de Genève. The 42mm titanium case grants exceptional lightness to the piece, which appears even lighter in this iteration with a white rubber strap. Red and yellow accents lend an audacious burst of color the on the dial, where the signature star-shaped bridge which characterizes all Roger Dubuis skeleton movements is exhibited.
“It is exciting to present this limited edition Excalibur Spider,” says Jorge Puentes, President of Roger Dubuis North America. “The Spider is a daring and powerful design, as well as a prime example of the technical expertise of our Manufacture, all of which makes it a very fitting model for an US exclusive edition.”
