Roger Dubuis will be bringing their unique Artistic Masterpieces to England’s capital, giving customers and watch enthusiasts the chance to experience some of the provocative, bold and daring – not to mention artisanal creations and novelties.

The pop-up will be based around the symmetry of this movement, of which the star is the most important aspect. Created exclusively for Harrods, this unique setting has given us an opportunity to showcase the theatrical and experimental prowess that always succeeds in surprising and delighting audiences worldwide. Two debuts will exclusively launch at Harrods – the Black Velvet with Diamonds and the Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon with Black Spinnels.

The Black Velvet with Diamonds is the final variation on the trilogy that was first unveiled earlier this year during the SIHH 2016. 2016 has been declared the Year of the Velvet Diva and this model, the first ladies’ carbon watch, is truly in keeping with this 100% feminine line.

A world premiere expression, the carbon case is gem set uniting two materials often considered to be polar opposites. This pioneering combination of white diamonds embedded in the carbon case frame a mother of pearl dial and the strap is white alligator. This timepiece is limited to 88 pièces.

The Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon with Black Spinnels will not only be exclusively launching at Harrods, but has never been seen before. As Roger Dubuis’ iconic collection, the necessity to develop and innovate is always keenly felt, this is after all the family with the most complications and the most world premieres. The 60 baguette cut naturally black spinnels shine like dark stars against the black titanium case. The skill involved in putting together a piece such as this is unparalleled and setting the gems on the rubber moulding over the metal bezel was a world premiere at the SIHH 2015 and a result of two years of research undertaken by Geneva-based gemsetting specialist Pascal Vincent Vaucher. It is work like this that makes the Excalibur collection the ultimate expression of Poinçon de Genève. This time piece is limited to 8 pieces.
