Striking mechanics, technical materials
Excalibur Double Tourbillon Cobalt
Our intricate double tourbillon calibre is protected by highly-resistant Cobalt Chrome, an alloy rarely used in watchmaking. As always with Roger Dubuis, the choice of this material also benefits the aesthetics. Therefore, the silvery-grey colour of this innovative material is associated with a deep blue, inspired by the colour of cobalt in nature, to create a striking yet refined contrast.

The power of cobalt chrome
In addition to its distinctive brightness, Cobalt Chrome is highly resistant to scratches and corrosion and is non-magnetic, making it reliable in everyday use. Originally used in cutting-edge industries, Roger Dubuis has been incorporating Cobalt Chrome into its watches since 2017, making it one of the Maison's signature materials.

The wisdom of materials
The RD108SQ Calibre is optimized with 72 hours of power reserve. To resist surrounding forces, the flying tourbillons include an upper cage in non-magnetic Cobalt Chrome, and a lower cage in titanium – also non-magnetic and twice lighter than steel.
Skeleton Double Flying Tourbillon
RD108
Skeleton double flying tourbillon: manufactured in the Roger Dubuis workshop in Geneva. re-engineered and improved performances with a power reserve of 72 hours, better resistance to magnetism thanks to tourbillon carriages made in titanium and cobalt-chrome. Two tourbillons linked with a differential directly connected to the second wheel of the gear train for a better transmission of the energy.
